Turnkey Environmental Remediation, Former Oil & Gas Facility

Turnkey Environmental Remediation, Former Oil & Gas Facility

California

Under a performance-based contract at a former oil and gas facility, CAPE worked closely with a consortium of development firms and multiple California regulatory agencies to obtain closure on soil, allowing construction of one of the largest shipping/distribution facilities on the west coast of the United States. We achieved this by performing turnkey remediation that included remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, construction, system O&M, and long-term monitoring/long-term management (LTM). CAPE used multiple technologies for groundwater and soil treatment, including air sparging, groundwater extraction and treatment (pump & treat), contaminated soil excavation, bioremediation, bioventing, and soil vapor extraction (SVE). We obtained site closure on soil and were granted the right to shut down the groundwater treatment systems and perform free product recovery and monitored natural attenuation (MNA), which facilitated property development.
