JOB POSITION ROLE:
This position will be part of a UXO surface and subsurface removal crew. Duties will include escort of vegetation removal crews, reacquisition crews, and geophysical mapping crews. As a dig team member, you will report directly to the team lead and primary technician excavating identified anomalies IWA with the approved DoD methods. Surface and subsurface clearance activities will include the use of handheld geophysical equipment (pulse induction, EM, magnetometer), initial inspection and identification of MEC, MEC related items and non-MEC items encountered. Other duties may include inspection of expended ordnance, ordnance related residue and bombing range residue to verify the presence or absence of energetic materials; may also supervise ordnance technicians, equipment operators and construction laborers during movement and segregation of expended ordnance and bombing range target scrap. Other duties may include operate handheld radiation detection instruments to screen range residue for low-level radioactive waste items and conducting explosive demolition of MEC/UXO items recovered. This position will interface with CAPE's Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS), UXO Quality Control supervisor (UXOQCS) and UXO Safety officer (UXOSO) to ensure safe removal and inspection of ordnance items. As team lead you will report to the SUXOS and help ensure productions goals are met to allow CAPE to achieve profit goals and excellent client satisfaction in alignment with the Mission, Vision and Values of CAPE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
▪High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
▪Graduate of a military EOD school or an accredited UXO Tech I course.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
▪Zero (0) - Three (3) years combined military EOD and civilian contractor UXO experience in all phases of UXO and UXO related operations to ensure compliance with DOD directives and local, state and federal statutes.
▪Experience performing all functions enumerated for UXO Sweep Personnel, UXO Technician I as defined in U.S. Army Engineering Pamphlet EP-1110-1-18, Chapter 20.
