Electrical Substation Waste Excavation and Rough Grading

Electrical Substation Waste Excavation and Rough Grading

California

CAPE performed a large-scale site remediation and grading project on a 15-acre property for a power/ utility client. The purpose of the project was to remove historic contamination and soils unsuitable for building upon, and to regrade the site for future construction of a new substation. The site was adjacent to a large residential community, and stringent dust controls were required to be maintained 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. CAPE performed contaminated soil excavation, hazardous waste removal, transportation & disposal (T&D), stormwater management, and site grading and restoration. We installed extensive erosion and sediment controls and protected elderberry bushes to avoid harming an endangered beetle.
