Hawaii Office Moves (April 2011)
On April 5th, CAPE's Hawaii office celebrated its recent move to offices at 155 Kapalulu Place, Suite 111,
located near Honolulu International Airport. The open house began with a traditional Hawaiian blessing of
the office space by a local Kahu (pastor). CAPE's Honolulu office supports contracts for the Navy and Air
Force in Hawaii, Guam, and throughout the Pacific. |

CAPE Awarded Two Projects in Afghanistan (February 2011)
As a member of CDM/CAPE, A Joint Venture, CAPE was awarded two projects in Kabul, Afghanistan by the Air Force Center
for Engineering and the Environment. One project involves the planning, design, and renovation of six fire stations
throughout Kabul and the construction of three K-Span buildings at the South Kabul International Airport. On the other
project, CAPE will be designing and constructing a school expansion.
CAPE Moves its Headquarters to Norcross, GA (February 2011)
CAPE moved its corporate headquarters from Atlanta, GA to Norcross, GA, expanding its footprint from 14,824 square feet
to 23,125 square feet. In addition to accommodating our growing workforce, the new building also has larger spaces for
training and includes a fitness center to support one of CAPE's core values of providing for our staff's health and well being. |

Groundbreaking at Bellow AFS, Hawaii, (November 2010)
On November 10, 2010, the Air Force and CAPE conducted groundbreaking ceremonies for new recreational cabins at Bellows
Air Force Station, Hawaii, one of the U.S. military’s premier training and vacation destinations. As a member of CDM/CAPE,
A Joint Venture, CAPE was awarded this high-profile $5.1M contract to construct the cabins, which are located on Waimanalo Bay.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in August 2011. |

CAPE Certified as SSPC QP1 Contractor (September 2010)
CAPE received QP1 certification by the Society for Protective Coatings (SPCC). SPCC granted the certification after a detailed audit of
CAPE's quality control, safety, and environmental compliance programs and procedures related to surface preparation and industrial
coating application on steel structures, which CAPE provides as part of its turnkey fuel systems inspection, construction, and repair

CAPE Wins USACE Mobile District "Celebrate Safety" Award (July 2010)
CAPE was the prime contractor on a project that received the USACE Mobile District’s "Celebrate Safety" award for 3rd Quarter of FY10. Working closely with the USACE Omaha District and Anniston Resident Office, CAPE successfully addressed safety issues related to the removal of an asbestos-containing-material and lead-based-paint tank coating from an aboveground storage tank prior to demolition. The nomination stated in part: "CAPE’s clear dedication to safety and prevention of injury demonstrates their understanding of the importance of sending our workers home in the same or better condition than they came to us. Without question, CAPE is highly deserving of recognition for an outstanding job on safety for this project to reinforce the importance of their efforts."
CAPE Awarded Third USACE Omaha District Fuels MATOC (June 2010)
Building upon its success on two previous contracts to perform fuel system design/build services for the USACE Omaha District, CAPE was awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract for Construction with Incidental Design Services for Sustainment, Rehabilitation, and Modernization (SRM) and Unspecified Military Construction (UNMC)–Funded Construction in Support of Facility Infrastructure for Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL) Operations. The total program value is $324M among four contractors. Work will be performed throughout the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii.
CAPE Wins USACE Omaha District ERS/MMR Contract (March 2010)
CAPE was awarded its 4th contract to perform environmental remediation services for the USACE Omaha District. This Small Business Set-Aside Environmental Remediation Services with Incidental Military Munitions Response Activities contract has a total program value of $50M among five contractors. Work may be performed throughout the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.
NAVFAC Pacific Remedial Action Contract Award (February 2010)
Cape Environmental Management, Inc. was awarded a maximum $60,000,000
cost-plus-award-fee contract for remedial action services at various sites within the Naval Facilities
Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Pacific area of responsibility (AOR). The work to be performed provides
for remediation of any media contaminated by solvents, petroleum, oils, lubricants, metals, acids, bases,
reactives, polychlorinated biphenyls, and pesticides. Work will be performed at various sites predominantly
in Hawaii (70 percent) and Guam (25 percent), and other areas within the NAVFAC Pacific AOR including Japan,
Okinawa, Diego Garcia, and other areas in the Pacific and Indian Oceans (5 percent). The term of the contract
is not to exceed 5 years with an expected completion date of January 2015. Contract Award date: 3 February 2010.

CAPE Wins 4th USACE Kansas City PRAC (December 2009)
CAPE won its 4th consecutive Pre-Placed Remedial Action Contract (PRAC) with the USACE Kansas City District. This newest contract has a total program value of $445M among four contractors. Work is to be performed primarily in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 (NY, NJ, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands) and USACE Northwestern Division (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, CO, IA, MO).
CAPE Awarded AFCEE ECOS09 Contract (November 2009)
AFCEE awarded CAPE and nine other contractors a $350M multiple-award contract for Environmental, Construction and Operations & Services (ECOS09). Work may be performed worldwide. This contract was a follow-on contract to three similar contracts CAPE held before with AFCEE (ECOS, Environmental Minor Construction and Operations & Services [EMCOS], and Environmental Minor Construction and Repair [EMCR]).
WERC09 Award (September 2009)
The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) awarded CAPE a Worldwide Environmental
Restoration and Construction 2009 (WERC09) contract. The $3 billion multiple-award contract is a follow
on to a previous WERC contract, under which CAPE performed a full range of environmental, construction,
and fuel systems services around the globe, including Iraq.
Kansas Army Ammunition Plant (KSAAP) Award (September 2009)
CAPE was one of two small businesses to be awarded a $49M contract to perform environmental remediation
and Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) services at the former KSAAP.

CAPE Chief Executive Officer Fernando Rios was named one of the Top 100 Latino Entrepreneurs representing
role models for Hispanic business. The honor was bestowed by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
ACEC New York Environmental Gold Award (March 2008)
As a subcontractor to Malcolm Pirnie, CAPE provided construction support for the full-scale phytoremediation
system implementation at Fort Drum, NY. This project was awarded the American Council of Engineering
Companies (ACEC) of New York 2008 Environmental Gold Award.

SAME Robert B. Flowers Small Business Award (May 2007)
CAPE received the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) 2006 Robert B. Flowers Small Business Award.
This award is presented annually to a Small Business Sustaining Member that has at least one Post sustaining
membership in the past 3 years and which has rendered the most eminent and notable contributions to SAME
as a small business.
